'Bunny Tail' Trail Mix (& Free printable treat tag!)
Had such a fun and simple time tossing this chex mix together, and my 3 & 1/2 year old did too!
It is yummy! and just enough sweet, salt and spice ;D
Here is all you need:
1 Box cinn. chex cereal
2 boxes corn chex cereal
1 bag toll house springtime chocolate chips (semi sweet, pink and yellow)
1 bag pretzel sticks (dont need the whole thing though)
I bag mini marshmallows
your cute FREE PRINTABLE TREAT TAG
Treat bag or muffin cups in tin (if for party or event)
Add your corn chex to the bowls (or one bowl if not making a ton)
Pour in (a third or fourth of how much you put in of the corn chex) of the cinn. chex cereal.
Then break the pretzel stick in half or in thirds...you decide.
Then mix together gently and add to muffin tin cups or treat bags :)
MAY WANT TO ADD CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND PRETZEL PIECES TO YOUR TREAT BAGS LAST TO KEEP THEM FROM SHAKING TO THE BOTTOM!
Here is a fun and easy way to serve these treats at an Easter event!
To add some fun, glue on a mini marshmallow on top of the tail on the tag (Either printable) :)
If you choose to print these at a place like Costco in wallet size, like I did...make sure to crop it a little (so the words and tail aren't totally cut off!)

Honey bees play an important role in pollinating many of our fruits, nuts and vegetables, which help contribute to a healthy, nutritious diet. Since bees are so important to our agriculture, we all need to do our part to help them thrive.
Lack of diverse food sources is a major obstacle to improving honey bee health. Quite simply, bees do not have access to all the pollen and nectar sources that they need.
The Feed a Bee initiative will create forage areas with a diversity of bee-attractant plants for honey bees. To accomplish this goal, Feed a Bee will educate consumers about pollinator food shortage and work with them to plant 50 million flowers to increase bee forage areas. Feed a Bee will also tap into the power of collaborations by working with 50 organizations to plant thousands of acres of cover crops for bees.
The Feed a Bee campaign is supported by the Bayer Bee Health program’s honey bee research. Feed a Bee collaborations will use this research to guide plantings of the best bee-attractant habitats. The research will also be used to provide consumer tips on planting bee forage.
Let’s all support honey bee health by growing 50 million flowers to create forage areas for bees! Visit www.FeedABee.com to request free seeds to plant on your own or ask the Feed a Bee partnership to plant seeds on your behalf. Each packet of 200 seeds will move the Feed a Bee ticker forward just that much further toward 50 million flowers for forage in 2015.
A good resource is the Pollinator Partnership’s Bee Smart app, which will guide you in selecting plants for pollinators specific to your area. This is downloadable for the iphone or android devices. Visit www.pollinator.org/guides.htm
For more information on bee health, please visit FeedABee.Bayer.us.
Free seeds offer – Offer ends 12/31/15 or while supplies last. Limit two packages of seeds per household. Will ship 2 – 4 weeks from date of request.

Thrifty Decor Tips
So, since my husband and I got married (in 2009) we have moved a total of 7 times...! Yeah.
3 times in CA before we had our first kid AND THEN 4 more times after moving to UT for his schooling. Between all of those moves their had been different useful things in each apartment that we did for the time living there that made things less cluttered, etc.
In our current place these are the things that we have done to make the best use of every inch of space in our main living room.
We use My husbands desk as our TV stand/ toys under
(SINCE WE DONT HAVE A DESIGNATED TOY ROOM ).
Its a great height for the TV and allows the toys to be tucked under a bit and out of the way. an also use the drawers for toys, or just dvds and games, etc. (if real little kids then you will want to put on child locks)
We have been putting a single sheet on the bottom part of this couch since we got it. To try and keep it clean while having little ones around... They just cant help but touch everything, or wipe their hands or noses on everything for that matter (or food/drink spills), so this helps to not have to clean the couch as often! Just have a few sheets I stash in with our blanket pile so i can change out a dirty one and put on the clean one ;)
This wedge ottoman was a super awesome clearance find of ours! R.C. Willey had an outlet store in Provo for probably atleast the last ten years...(just moved) and we got this piece for a great price...thinking it was a great color. BUT what I have loved most about it is its EASY ON and EASY OFF access for us, friends and family who come over. AND no matter what end you are sitting on you can still put your feet up just fine ;)
I had an extra standard pillow lying around and lime green cover from my sons sheets set and thought...this would go with our curtains just perfect AND fill the gap on our couch (like a bolster pillow would) with a little bit of color :)
You can sew up the side to make it an official throw pillow too if you'd like ;)
Barricade your blanket pile! We have struggled with storage space (some places not even having a hall linen or front entry closet!) in every place we have rented so far... and so this is an accessible place for your blankets that are most used!
Add some color and height to your lighting with vintage books!
(or cover your own---the teal one is covered with scrapbook paper to match decor ;)
Not a lot of space in your current home? Easily fit a TV Tray as a simple side table!
Have a frame but the glass is broken or missing?
Make it into an 'easy to change frame' with just a little scrapbook paper, a button, paper clip and hot glue!
I JUST PUT UP A CLEAR TACK (AND AS LONG AS YOUR LIDS RIM COMES OUT FAR ENOUGH, IT WILL STAY UP)
Paper Mache letters!
A little modge podge, magazine scraps/scrapbook paper, and your letters!
I also used a hole punch and some nice gift wrapping paper to give some lighter spots.
Could do this with your last name initial or a childs intial, etc.
FOUND THESE LETTERS AT MICHAEL'S OR JOANN'S
for just a couple dollars or so each. and if you use a coupon, it will be even cheaper ;)
HOPE SOME OF THESE IDEAS CAN WORK FOR YOU AS WELL!

Pillar Curtains
So I have some quick questions for ya...
Ever like your curtain fabric, but it was too busy or bright, etc. when they are all the way closed? OR want to add a pop of color to boring or simple curtains you currently have? What about wanting to Block out most of the outside light but still have enough come through? OR love the double curtain rod look (curtains behind front ones), but you don't have a double curtain rod??

Well... these are all the reasons for me coming up with this pillar curtain idea! ;)
So if you have any (or all, like me :) of these issues, give this a shot.
I absolutely just love the look of these AND that is solves all of my frustrations and issues with just having my plain gray up OR the fun bright printed ones ALONE.
I LIKED THEM SO MUCH THAT I ALSO
DID THE SAME IN OUR MASTER BEDROOM!
Hope my solution has helped you find yours too!?

Healthy Lemon Rainbow Rice Crispies
So...I reeeally like Chocolate covered Sunflower seeds! I am not sure how well known these little rubies are...
so if you have heard of them or eaten them,
I WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO COMMENT ABOUT IT AT THE END!
Curious to know who has heard of them.
I first had them at a friend of mines, sisters wedding reception here in UTAH. And it was soo cute and colorful. They had ordered them all in different colors and the were separated by color in different jars as part of their wedding favors (fill your bags with candy idea). It was super cute and these were surprisingly really good. This was her favorite candy so this is how they chose to incorporate it and add their wedding colors (to make it more personalized). So, ever since then...like in 2007 or 08...I thought that you had to order them online...but a couple years ago I saw them at Winco Foods in the bulk section. and then also in places like Joann's Fabrics and Bed Bath and Beyond in the checkout area! so keep a look out.
ALSO, IF YOU HAVE SEEN THEM ELSEWHERE PLEASE TELL ME!
I recently had the idea to use the multi colored kind (bulk at winco) into a yummy treat, because its rainbow, of course. And St. Patty's Day is just around the corner!!
So I combined an all time favorite, rice crispy treats, with some healthy coconut oil to substitute for the butter make it a tad bit healthier ;), a hint of lemon...and then tossed these colorful choc. covered seeds in the mix.
They are pretty yum if ya ask me, but of course they are or I wouldn't have posted them, right? ;)
Just a little hint of lemon really gives it something special :D
this is what you need + lemon extract! (forgot to put that in the photo!)
Surprise inside! pictures
pinch of each color into the center
hide all pieces and form a tight ball
Cut down the middle with sharp knife...put one of each color on one half and smash other half back on top to put it back together
Hope you have fun Tasting the
rainbow!
